Additions/upgrades available with QuickBooks 2009

Presented by: Danielle Paul

In September 2008, the QuickBooks 2009 Version was released.

Some of the highlighted benefits of this upgraded edition are:

  • Sending your accountant (or RC) a copy of your file to work on over a secure server, rather that through your email program or saving to a CD and mailing it. This alleviates some of the kick backs that may happen when you are trying to send large files out of your server.
  • The Remote Access feature lets your accountant (or RC) log into your QuickBooks securely and remotely to make journal entries or perform a training session. Your firm can also utilize the remote access link to be able to have access anytime, even when you are not at your desk. The person accessing QuickBooks remotely can only access your QuickBooks information. Your computer is in use when it is accessed remotely, but it alleviates the problems with file sharing back and forth. Remote Access is easy to set-up and easy to disable.
  • Improved exporting of Reports into Excel
  • Multi-currency capabilities
  • Continued improvements to the Fixed Asset Manager
  • There are other features that can be added, but are sold separately. Some of these include the Inuit ® statement writer, payroll preparation, Merchant Services and online time sheet tracking.
